I haven't written an update lately and wanted to let everyone know what I am up to.
I have been in Minnesota this summer, working on my game, playing in some Pro-Ams and Co-Chairing a Charity Event for the PGA Tour Wives Association.
I played in the University of Oregon Legends Tournament in June and shot my lowest score of 64!!!
I Won the Minnesota Women’s State Open Championship this week ( story on www.mngolf.org ). It was great to compete again and play well. Arron caddied for me, as he is home recovering from hand surgery and did a great job. It was a fun couple of days, but I think Arron is ready to get back out playing rather than continue his caddy duties.
Next up is the SaveMart Shootout in Fresno, California on October 12. This is an annual event for me and I always look forward to coming back and playing with my lucky Team.Wayne, you better be getting lessons-- We need another win!!!
I am focusing a lot of my time right now in getting the PGA Tour Wives Charity Classic up and running. It is at PGA National the week of the Honda Classic. The Wives will be golfing and the Husbands caddying!! It’s a really fun event and we are raising money to help the Nicklaus Children’s Healthcare Foundation. If anyone is interested in Sponsoring a Hole please go to our website or wants more information go to http://www.pgatourwives.org or http://www.angierizzo.com
and the forms will be up in the coming weeks.
Thanks again for all of your support,
Angie

I just competed in my 5th SaveMart Shootout in Fresno, CA. I had a great time as usual. I had 2 really fun groups this year. Unfortunatley my afternoon group and I did not defend our title. My buddy Wayne and his gang fell a few shots short. I think it was the early celebration!!!
Its always a blast out in Fresno, thanks to both teams for the great day and I look forward to seeing you all again next year.

It’s been a while since I last wrote so I wanted to update everyone on my plans for this fall. I have been feeling a lot better since I got my tonsils taken out. It was a rough surgery but I am happy now that it is over. I still don’t have all of my strength back but it’s coming. I have been working out hard in the gym and seeing a lot of progress.
I have decided not to go back to Qualifying School this fall. I still don’t have the stamina to compete for 5 rounds in a row plus practice rounds. I should still have Class A LPGA status for next year and I plan to play in more Corporate Events and a few tournaments in the summer.
I am also getting married in 2 weeks. I will be changing my last name so don’t be confused when you don’t see Rizzo anymore. It will be Angie Oberholser, but the website will remain the same.

It's been a tough six months but I am finally feeling better. I'm working hard to regain my strength to play golf again. I have been working out in the gym and on the golf course and it's really coming around. I have decided to play in the Minnesota State Women's Open and then go to Arizona for a few weeks for the Cactus Tour. I want to get some competitive rounds in and see where I am at with my game. I will then prepare for Qualifying School which is in December. Hope you are all having a great summer.

Just wanted to let everyone know that my surgery went well on Tuesday. I guess that was the easy part due to the recovery. It has not been an enjoyable couple of days but I am hanging in there. The stitches will take about 2 weeks to heal and I am counting down the days. I have been living on popsicles and cannot wait for a nice big meal when I am all healed. My mom, sister and Arron have been taking good care of me which has been great.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. This hasn't been easy to go through but I feel very lucky to have the support group that I have.

Sorry for the delay in updating everyone. It has been a busy few months and
I have some interesting things to write about.
First, I was diagnosed with tonsillitis and then mononucleosis at the end of
February. Yes, just as the neck was getting better, I got hit with that.
It was a very tough time with a long recovery period but I am finally
feeling good and getting my strength back. It was a struggle to keep my
weight on when I couldn't eat for 2 weeks.
I just found out now that I will have to get my tonsils and adenoids out on
May 15th. It¡¦s not an easy surgery at my age and I hate to think that I
will have to recover from this now. I just know in the long run I will be a
lot healthier and now is the time to do it. The doctors said it will be a 3
week recovery period and then I will start training again. I am planning to
take a few months and just work very hard in the gym to get my strength
back. I have some corporate events coming up that I will play in but I am
not sure when I will be ready to compete. I am going to see how everything
goes with the surgery, recovery and training. My goal is to be healthy and
strong as soon as possible.
The exciting news that I have is that I played Augusta National a few months
ago. Our friends Sandy and Patsie Warner treated Arron and I to a day at
Augusta. It was such an awesome experience and one that we will never
forget. We flew up and had dinner at the Club and then stayed in the
cottages right above the Pro Shop. The next morning we warmed up and headed
to the first tee. The course is unbelievable and a different view when you
play it. I never realized the extent of the undulation on the greens until
that day. The highlight for me was playing Amen Corner at Even Par!!! It
was my first 18 holes since December and I hung in there pretty well.
We then went back to Augusta 3 weeks later for the Masters. This is my
favorite tournament of the year. It was a little different this year with
the weather but still a great time. I had to buy socks in the merchandise
tent one day and wear them as mittens because it was so cold on the weekend.
I definitely did not expect that nor did I have the warm clothes I needed
that week. We brought my parents and brother Joe with us, which was a lot
of fun. They had never been to the Masters and had a great time.
Arron and I have moved to Minnesota for the summer. I will be recuperating
and we will both be training and practicing up here. It¡¦s nice to get out
of the Arizona heat for the summer. Arron is really looking forward to
doing some fishing on some of our many lakes between his tournaments and it
is nice for me to be home for a while.
Thanks again for reading my updates and for all the great emails. It¡¦s sure
fun to hear from everyone.
Take care,
Angie

Just a quick update for everyone. My neck is getting a lot better but not quite at 100% yet. I started hitting balls this week and can slowly work my way back into it. It’s going to take some more time but I am seeing a lot of progress.
The good news is that I received a special exemption from the LPGA tour and have Class A status next year. I am able to keep my membership and might get into a few events but can also play in the Monday qualifiers, the Futures Tour and go back to the final stage of Qualifying School. This was a big relief to be able to keep my membership and work towards getting through Q-school again.
Thanks for all of the supportive emails. Its great to know that many people care about me and my health. It really means a lot to me.

I hope all of you had a great Holiday Season and are enjoying the start of 2007. I had a wonderful Christmas. It was great to have my entire family in Arizona for the holidays this year. I also recently got engaged!!! This was a very special Christmas for Arron and me and we are excited to start planning our wedding. It was a happy ending to a frustrating golf year.
I am beginning to feel better and should be able to start practicing again by the end of February or beginning of March. The therapy for my neck has been going very well. I am seeing a specialist in San Diego and will be going back in two weeks to have more x-rays to check on the progress I am making.
Thank you all for the great support. It really means a lot to me.

I am sure a lot of you are wondering what happened to me this week at
Qualifying School. I was hoping to be writing that I got exempt status again, but
unfortunately, things did not go well for me. I had prepared very hard and was
really looking forward to a good week in Daytona Beach. I hurt my shoulder again
a couple of weeks ago, but I thought it was well enough by the time I went to Q-school. With all the preparing and practice, it flared up again and I was forced to withdraw due to the extreme pain in my shoulder and left arm. It has been a very frustrating year and this was not how I wanted to end it. I flew back to Minnesota on Friday to see Dr. Moe, who has worked with me on my rehabilitation from a car accident 4 years ago, and after numerous tests, he found the problem is stemming from my neck, which was injured in the accident. Apparently there is no quick fix, but with therapy and exercises we can strengthen the area that is inflamed. Dr. Moe said that sometimes things show up later and just get increasingly worse over the years. After re-injuring my shoulder in Las Vegas this spring, it never completely healed. I am going to regroup and work on my health and then come up with a game plan for next year.
I can’t thank everyone enough for all of the support and encouragement. This has been one of the toughest years mentally for me and I feel very grateful to have such a huge support team. It sure means the world to me. I will continue to write updates and let everyone know how I am progressing and my plan for the coming year.
Have a great Holiday Season and Happy New Year,
Angie

This weekend I competed in the SaveMart Shootout in Fresno, CA. I am proud
to say my team won the Sunday ProAm and Monday's Event. I had my Legendary ProAm partner Wayne in the group and he has really stepped up his game. I am sure all of you who have played in ProAms with me have heard the Wayne story. I played with him 4 years ago in this event and I seem to get him every year now. Dont know how that has happened, He must have just had such a great time in our first event. You can check out the results and pictures at www.pjp.com under SaveMart Shootout.
I have a few weeks off and then I will be playing in the Callaway Invitational
at Pebble Beach. It will be a great week and a good warm up for Q-school
which is at the beginning of December.
Take care,

This week we played at Blackhawk C.C. in Danville, CA and it was quite the test. It was the hilliest course I have ever played and with the winds gusting and swirling up to 30 mph on Friday, it was a grind. I played very solid all week and had one bad swing on my 17th hole on Friday that cost me making the cut. It was very disappointing because I hung in there all week, putted so much better and hit some great shots. I made triple bogey on 17 and knew I needed to make eagle on 18 to make the cut. From 240 yards, I hit 3 wood to 20 feet and lipped out the eagle putt. It was so close and I thought for sure it was going in. But that seems to be the way things are going this summer. In the last 4 tournaments I have been so close to finishing very well but just seem to have one bad swing that costs me. My brother Joe caddied for me this week so it was fun to have him on the bag. I am getting more comfortable out there and can see improvements in my game. I have this next week off and then will play my final event of the summer in Mexico.

Last week was the final tournament in my 5 week stretch. We played in
Tulsa, Ok and it was a enjoyable tournament. The golf course was very difficult
yet in great shape. My mom was out with me this week so that was fun.
I had a solid week except for one hiccup on Sunday's round. I hit the ball
the best I have all year and really felt comfortable out there. I finished
59th but had a lot of good things happen. Its all starting to turn around
so hopefully I can get a top finish and move up on that money list before
the season is over.
I am now off a week and then it's on to California.

Its been awhile since I wrote so I thought I would give everyone the latest
update. I have played the last four weeks which have been pretty
exhausting, I have one more tournament then I get to go home to Arizona for
a week. I have had some good and bad rounds but am looking at the good
ones and trying to put 2 solid rounds together. Last week I started out with
a 68 but couldn't back it up on Friday.
This week I struggled the first day but than came back shooting 71 in the second round.
I am learning a lot this year and am trying to take all the positives out of each week. I am starting to get some confidence back and will try and use it to have a good tournament this week in Tulsa.
Thanks to all of you have sent notes of encouragement it is greatly appreciated
I hope you all have a great Labor Day Weekend!!!

I haven’t written for a while, but my practice sessions have gone really well. I also took some time to spend with my Grandmother before she died. I am now in London, Ontario for the Canadian Open. The course is beautiful and challenging and I am looking forward to the tournament. This is the first of five in a row for me and I am anxious to compete. Stay tuned.

I played in Toledo, OH this week and survived the hot, humid and wet weather. They had some bad storms throughout the week which delayed tee times and flooded the golf course. They did a great job to get the course playable and we were able to finish the event. I had some ups and downs this week. I felt I hit a lot of good shots, but just didn’t score that well. I missed the cut, but learned a lot during this tournament. I have been working on a few things and am starting to see some progress. It’s always fun playing in Toledo because they get such great crowds. Thanks to all of you that came and cheered me on this weekend, I really appreciate it!!!
I have the next 3 weeks off and then will play 5 in a row after that. I am just going to work really hard these upcoming weeks to get my game where it needs to be to finish strong the rest of the season.

To All My Friends and Fans~
I apologize for not updating my website lately. I had planned to write on Monday about my last two hectic weeks, which included the McDonald's Championship, U.S. Open qualifying and watching the U.S. Open at Winged Foot. However, Monday morning I was notified that my good friend and off-season roommate, Gaelle Truet, was killed in an automobile accident on her way to the next Futures Tour event.
Gaelle Truet
Tribute to Gaelle Truet
I will have to write my update when I get back to Minnesota for a few days next week. In the meantime, please keep Gaelle and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks out here on the road. Between Corporate Outings and tournaments I am sure keeping my schedule full.
Last week in Atlantic City didn't go like I thought it would. I had a great practice round and started to play a lot better but just didn't score in the tournament. I missed the cut and just couldn't get anything in the hole that week.
I had a few of my Oregon Sponsors out last week so it was great to have a little gallery (Thanks for making the trip out there guys!!!!)
I am now in Baltimore, MD preparing for my first LPGA major; The LPGA Championship. The course looks great so I am excited to get started. I'm playing a practice round tomorrow with Juli Inkster so that will be very helpful.
Next week, I will be playing in the Sectional Qualifier for the US Womens Open. I was an alternate and got in the Rhode Island site so it worked out well since I am already on the East Coast.
There is a new section of Pictures from a Photo Shoot I did a couple of months ago. Carmen Jane Photography did a great job on those.
As you can see, there is a lot going on out here. Take care, and I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend.

It was good to be back competing again after a week off. I played the LPGA event in Corning, New York last week. I had a good first couple of days, made the cut and then didn't play as well as I would have liked on the weekend. I shot 70-73-77-75. Things are coming around, I am getting a lot more comfortable out here on tour, now I just need to put four good rounds together.
I am playing this week in Atlantic City and I'm happy that some of my Oregon sponsors will be there. Then, next week I am playing in the McDonald's Championship north of Baltimore. It will be my first major on the LPGA tour so I am very excited for that.
Sorry to all of you that tuned in to Fore, Minnesota on Saturday. I was misinformed and they did not air my segment on Matt's Mulligans like I was told. It will be on sometime this next month so I will send an email out again when I get the correct date.
I hope you all enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend.

The Michelob Ultra event at Kingsmill in Virginia was an awesome tournament. The area was gorgeous and so was the golf course. They sure treated us like we were at a major this week. Unfortunately, I didn't score the way I did last week in Nashville. I shot 76-77 and missed the cut. I thought I played a lot better than I scored, but, I still made too many little mistakes that added up. I haven't been playing the Par 5's that well this year so I am going to work on a new plan to take advantage of the holes I should birdie.
I am taking this coming week off from the LPGA to participate in the Women's U.S. Open qualifying. This is the first stage (18 holes) to get to the Final (36 holes) qualifier.
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's reading this!!!

Hi Everyone,
After having to withdraw from 2 events because of my shoulder, I flew home to Minnesota and saw Dr. Moe who treated my bicep tendon. It is feeling so much better and I am very happy about all of the positives that came out of this week's tournament in Tennessee. I shot 68-73-68-75 and tied for 44th. I'm pleased to have made the cut, shot under par and made a check.
Also, I have a new sponsor. Great Clips will be prominently displayed on my headcovers and left chest very soon.
I am heading to Virginia for the Michelob Ultra Open and am really looking forward to building on the progress I made this week. Thanks for all the encouraging words. I really appreciate the continued support.

I spent the last week in Arizona going to therapy on my neck and shoulder. I am feeling a lot better and am in Orlando preparing for this weeks event. I am excited to get going again and play the next 3 tournaments. We have had a lot of gaps in the schedule so far and it will be nice to get into a rhythm and play 6 out of the next 7 weeks.
I want to thank Jerry Zgoda from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune for the nice article in today's paper.

I have also received a lot of emails from people wondering where I am getting my clothes this year. I am sponsored by GGBlue and wearing their golf line. www.ggblue.com

I just wanted to give everyone an update from the Las Vegas event. I hurt my shoulder during the first round and was forced to withdraw. I was in the lip of the fairway bunker and hurt it on the follow through. I saw the doctor and he said that there is no structural damage, it is strained and has a lot of inflamation. I have decided to withdraw from Atlanta to rest it and go to therapy so I am healthy and ready to go for the big events coming up.
Thanks for all of the support and words of encouragement. It's very frustrating, but I am staying positive and am going to work hard to get this fixed this week. Easter/Spring is a time for new beginnings and I’m looking forward to a new beginning in Orlando.
Take care,
Angie

The first 4 events on the LPGA flew by. It's been an exciting month. We just completed the event in Phoenix at Superstition Mountain. It was a great week having my family and friends out cheering me on. Unfortunately, I again got off to a rough start and missed the cut by 2 shots. I played very well the second day shooting 70 with 2 eagles. I even won a skin for one of the eagles, but it's too bad that doesn't go toward the official money list. I then played in ProAms on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I would have rather been playing the weekend at the tournament but it was nice to make some money.
I have learned a lot in the last month and am looking forward to having a few weeks off to work on the things I need to be on the top of the LPGA. I have found that during competition when I start getting nervous, I tend to aim right with my driver and get the ball back in my stance. It has been hard to pick up because I don't do that in practice rounds or when I am playing for fun. I am going to work on my Pre Shot routine so I can have something to rely on and trust when the pressure is on.
I will be in Scottsdale for the next 2 weeks and then I am going to the Masters this year before I play 5 tournaments in a row. The bulk of the LPGA season will start the second week in April when we play in Las Vegas.
Thanks to all of you that came out to Superstition Mountain. It was sure nice having a gallery out there.

March 12, 2006
I have been in Mexico City this week playing in the LPGA Mastercard Classic.
It was a frustrating week on the golf course, but I have learned something
each week and am going to work hard to start scoring again. I shot 77-75 and
missed the cut by 3 shots. The golf course here was very difficult due to
the altitude (8000 ft), different elevation changes and the wind on the
first day. I hit the ball great this week, but just couldn't seem to get it in
the hole. I was very pleased with my ball striking. I am just going to grind
away on the short game the next couple of weeks to get my scores where I
need them to be.
I am very excited to play in Phoenix this coming week at Superstition Mountain.
All of my family and friends will be there, so it will be great to play on
some home turf. It will also be my last chance to qualify for the Kraft Nabisco Championship,
the first major of the season. I am looking forward to this next week and then I will have
the following 3 weeks off before the bulk of the tournaments get going.
I hope to see all of you that live in Phoenix next week!!!

It was great to get the LPGA season started two weeks ago. I was in Hawaii for the first two events. I got off to a bad start on the first round of each tournament, but, played very well in the second rounds. Unfortunately, I missed the cut in both tournaments, but, learned a lot from each course. I think some of it was nerves and then lacking knowledge on Hawaii greens. It is very different playing over there with the wind and the grainy greens. I am hitting it well and know that it is going to be a good year.
I have been home in Arizona the last week preparing for the next event and am now off to Mexico City. I have never been there, so it should be exciting. We then come back to Arizona and play at Superstition Mountain. It will be great to play in front of the home crowd and have my family and friends there.
Take care

I have had a great off season in sunny Arizona. It’s been an amazing winter here in the desert. We haven’t had a drop of rain in 115 days and it has been unusually warm. Not good for the pollution but great for working on your golf game. I have been working hard to prepare for the upcoming season.
I am heading out tonight to Oahu, Hawaii for the first two LPGA tournaments. I am very excited to get started and to begin my journey as an exempt LPGA member. The first tournament is Thursday-Saturday at the Turtle Bay Resort. I am then going to Kauai for 2 days to check out a new golf course that I will be representing. DMB (owners of Silverleaf) are developing a new property called Kukuiula. I am honored to be chosen to represent this development. Then, I’ll go back to Oahu for the 2nd event at KoOlina.
You can track my rounds on LPGA.com or you can also go to my website and under the Scores section will be a link to the LPGA website.
Aloha,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I secured my 2006 LPGA exempt card today. It was a long, grueling week at Q-school, but, I survived the wind and cold weather and finished T-16th to get my LPGA card. It was a solid, yet nerve wracking week, but, I am very relieved to be done.
I can’t thank everyone enough for all of their support and prayers; it’s amazing to know how many people are cheering you on. Craig Waryan was down here caddying for me and I give him so much credit. He put up with me all week, keeping me patient and motivating me throughout each round to finish strong. You’re quite the trooper, Craig!!!
I also need to thank Charles Maka and Jay Schroeder at UltraFit. I trusted you guys to get me in shape for this week and all that hard work at the gym paid off. I have never felt stronger and have been feeling great all week.
I will be taking some time off during the holidays, but, am very excited about next year and finally playing a full schedule on the LPGA. No more Monday qualifiers!!!! I can’t wait!!
Have a great Holiday season!!

I know it's been a while since I last updated everyone. With the LPGA and Future's tour seasons complete, it is now time to gear up for Qualifying School again. I have had the last few weeks off, but that doesn't mean I haven't been working.
I played in the Pro-Am for the SaveMart Challenge in Fresno, Ca. It was a one day, 36 hole event, but, it is always fun when you are playing with great guys. I had a very enjoyable weekend with two great teams.
I went to Daytona Beach last week to play and practice on the courses we will be playing for Q-school. It was a great week and I got a lot accomplished. I feel my game has improved so much and I am ready to get my exempt LPGA status.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful start to the Holiday Season. The LPGA Q-school is Nov. 30th to Dec. 4th, so watch for my name on the top of the leaderboard.

I have spent the last two weeks playing in the Monday qualifiers in the California LPGA events. Unfortunately, I didn't qualify for either of them. However, I am first alternate for this week's event and I hope to get in.
I've been practicing hard and I went to the Taylor Made factory to get all my equipment checked out before Q-school.
I am playing in a few more Pro-Ams this month and, then, I will be grinding away for the LPGA Q-school which is the first week of December.
Thanks for all of the support and encouragement this season. It really means a lot to me.
Thanks,
Angie
September 19th, 2005
I continued my solid play during the Monday qualifier for the LPGA event in Tulsa, OK. I shot 71 in the qualifying round to get into the tournament.
We played at Cedar Ridge C.C. which was an extremely difficult golf course. By Friday, the rough was so thick you could not see your ball if it landed in it. I was disappointed with my play during the tournament this week. I have been so consistent the past month, but, my putter left me the first day and the driver the second day, leaving me with a 77-77 and missing the cut by a few shots. I did learn a lot this week and it was great to get used to the bermuda grass, since I haven't played on that for a while.
I have a week off, and then, I am heading to Los Angeles and Sacramento for the next two LPGA Monday qualifiers.

August 29, 2005
I had a great week in York, Pennsylvania. I am happy to report that all of my hard work has paid off and I finished T-3rd this week. I played so solid with all three rounds under par (68-70-70). I had the lead going into the last few holes and just couldn't get any birdies to drop. Julieta Granada birdied the last four holes to win the event. It was so much fun being in contention and really feeling like I could win the event. I hit the ball great and finally got the putter going.
For all of you that know my Dad, I am putting this story in here for you!!! My Mom and Dad came down to watch me play and my Dad was going to caddy for me. During the first round, after my first hole, we got on a shuttle and my Dad wasn't on all the way when the cart took off. He went flying off the back end, hitting his head and landing on his shoulder. I thought he had a concussion since he wasn't moving. It was pretty scary. I was shaking and crying and didn't know if I could go on playing. My Mom tried to calm me down and told me to keep going. A spectator offered to carry the bag until a replacement caddy was found. I was three over par after three holes, when the Caddy Master (Dave) came out to fill in for my Dad. I finally calmed down when my Dad came back and we knew he was all right. He was unable to carry the bag the rest of the tournament. I think he officially retired himself from caddying. I went on to birdie 7 of my last 13 holes to shoot 68 in the first round. Fortunately for me, a professional caddy that I've used before, Jeff deCoen, lives near York and was able to caddy the next two rounds. Thanks, Dave and Jeff!!! It was pretty crazy, but, all turned out well.
I played in the Smuckers ProAm today at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio. I had a great team and we finished 1st!! WAY TO GO, GUYS!!!
I am going to Springfield, Illinois tomorrow to see if I get into the LPGA tournament and then will head back to Phoenix after that.
It's been a busy month, but, I have been playing well and really enjoyed competing in four straight events on the Futures Tour.
Have a fun and safe Labor Day Weekend!!!
Angie
August 23, 2005
Last week I played in Queenstown, MD at Hunters Oak Golf Club. This course was quite different than the last couple of courses we have played. It was a very interesting links style golf course and I really enjoyed it. I shot 73-76-69 and finished T-25th. I played great all week, but, again, struggled on two holes. I just never got a good game plan on those holes and it really cost me. I had so much fun playing on Sunday shooting 69 in the final round. I had the best putting day I have ever had. I was 4 under through 8 holes and had also lipped out 2 birdies on the first couple of holes. It was great to see the putting is coming around and I am making more birdies.
I am now in York, PA for the last Futures Tour event. My parents are coming out this weekend and my Dad will be caddying for me. We will see how he hangs in there on this hilly golf course!!!
I will be playing in a ProAm on Monday at Firestone CC in Akron, OH, and then heading back to Phoenix. It doesn't look like I will get into the Springfield, Illinois LPGA event, but, I am planning to do the Monday Qualifiers for Tulsa, L.A. and Sacramento.
Take care and thanks for all of the encouraging emails.

The LPGA Tour had a month off in their schedule, so I decided to head out to the Futures Tour for the last four events. It is quite different compared to the LPGA. I realize now, how spoiled I got out there and I'm really motivated to get my exempt status for next year.
I played in Beltsville, MD and finished T-30th. I had three really solid rounds, but just didn't capitalize on a few holes. The course didn't set up well for my game, but I stayed very patient all week and was happy with the progress I made. I stayed with Bernie and Valeta that week and I have to thank them for taking great care of me.
This last week I was in Morgantown, WV and got the royal treatment at the Koski's house. Thanks, guys, for the wonderful week. You're the best!! I finished T-43rd and again played solid, but, had three bad swings with the driver that cost me. I did putt well all weekend. I've been working so hard on my putting lately, and I was glad to see that it is starting to pay off.
I am now off to Queenstown, MD for the next Futures Tour event. I am playing well and looking for two more solid weeks out here.

My week at the Canadian Open did not go as well as I thought it would. I saw a lot of progress in Toledo and I thought I was going to continue to build on that through the next week.
After a terrible time getting to Halifax and Northwest Airlines losing my clubs, they finally arrived three days later right before the tournament. It was a great golf course and beautiful area, it just would have been nice to get a full practice round in and time to get a good feel for the course.
Things are coming though and I am still hitting the ball well. I am going to spend a lot of time around the greens the next couple of weeks and figure out how to make a few more putts.
I am playing in the Best Buy ProAm at Majestic Oaks in Ham Lake, MN on Tuesday the 19th. I will then be in Phoenix next week.
My plan now is to play on the Futures tour for the month of August. The LPGA has a few weeks off and I don't think I will get into the other two events next month. I figure my best bet is to keep competitive and go win a few events out there..
Take care

Last week I was in Toledo, OH. I played in two pro-ams and had some really fun partners that made me feel at home all week, (Thanks guys from Heidelberg Distributing). I have been the 1st alternate for this tournament the past couple of years and it was fun to finally play this event. I played so solid all week, but struggled the last day with the putter to finish T-57th. (74-68-70-76)
The tournament was very well organized and I met so many great fans that it really made the event special. My parents were able to come from Minnesota to watch me play and I always seemed to have a great following out there.
Thanks to everyone that was cheering me on all week, it really means a lot to me.
I am now in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the Canadian Women's Open. It was quite the disaster getting here since they shut the airport down for 2 days due to fog. We got diverted to Bangor, Maine on Sunday night and then drove 8 hours yesterday to get here. I still have no golf clubs (nor does half the field) and am hoping they arrive sometime today so I can get a practice round in. We will see, it's been a pretty interesting few days.

I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday. I am in Toledo, Ohio this week for the Jamie Farr LPGA event. I am playing in Pro-Ams on Monday and Tuesday, practicing Wednesday and playing in the tournament Thursday through Sunday. Then, I am flying to Nova Scotia where I'll be playing in the Canadian Women's Open. I am really looking forward to both tournaments.

I had a great time in Rochester, NY this week. It was a busy week, but I gained a lot of confidence in my steady play.
I got into the LPGA event on Wednesday when Marisa Baena withdrew. I got
paired in the "A" tee time with Maria Hjorth and Cristie Kerr. It was a
great experience for me playing with two past champions. I played very
well the first day shooting a 71 and even got some TV time on the Golf
Channel. I followed that up with a 75-76-74 and finished T-65th. I
played solid all weekend, I just didn't play the back nine well on that
golf course. It was a very fun tournament, the crowds were unbelieveable and the course was in great shape. Even with all of the rain, the fans were out there every day cheering us on.
I am making a lot of progress, I know it's coming. One of these days, all of the putts will drop and I will get a top 10 finish.
I have a few weeks off, but, I am playing in the CVS Charity Challenge this weekend in Providence, RI. I will then head to Toledo, Ohio for the LPGA event the first week of July.
Thanks for all of the support and words of encouragement this week. I really appreciate it!!!!

My sincere condolences to the family of Tom Babler, who died unexpectedly last week. He was a loyal Oregon supporter and one of my sponsors.

I am in Rochester, New York this week.
I played in the Monday qualifier for the LPGA event here. I wasn't one of the two that made it in that day, but, I got in today on my own status. The tournament starts on Thursday and I tee it up with Cristie Kerr and Maria Hjorth. Tuesday was the final 36 hole qualifier for the U.S. Open. I had my brother, Joe on the bag and played pretty well. At the end of the day, I was tied with six others for the last two spots and had to go into a playoff. I ended up missing the a spot by one stroke. I'm looking forward to next year qualifying with room to spare.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend.
I was in Corning, New York this week playing in the LPGA event. It was a pretty up and down couple of days, but I ended up missing the cut by 1 shot. I played really solid, just gave away a few little shots each day that cost me. Although I was pretty disappointed by missing the cut, I am making some great strides and I know I have it in me. I was leading the tournament for the first 6 holes and felt really comfortable out there. I was relaxed all week, hit the ball great, just couldn't get all the putts to drop.
I am in Atlantic City, New Jersey this week for the Monday qualifier and a ProAm on Wednesday. I am then heading back to Arizona next week for a week off before the Final stage of US Open qualifying.

Hi Everyone,
It was an up and down week here in New York City. I played great at the beginning of the week, winning the Monday qualifier and also making it through the first stage of US Open qualifying. I didn't play too well in the actual tournament, though, and ended up missing the cut. The course was great, but difficult. I didn't hit the ball very well and you could not afford to miss greens out there.
I was hoping to celebrate my birthday this weekend by having a great tournament. When my friend, Angela and I didn't make the cut, we headed to New York City and became real tourists. We experienced the train and subway and saw the statue of liberty, Ground Zero and Time Square. We also saw a Mets vs. Yankee game in Yankee stadium and met my college friend, Depan Patel, for dinner. It turned out to be a wonderful birthday after all.
I am off to Corning, NY this afternoon. I am already in the field for this next LPGA event without having to Monday qualify. It will be nice to have a normal week and know that I am playing.

I did not qualify this week for the Chick-Fil-A in Georgia, even though I had my Dad on the bag ( He knows my swing better than anybody and I usually save a few strokes a round with him caddying) . I played in the Monday qualifier and then a ProAm on Tuesday at East Lake Country Club. That was a great golf course. It is the course that Bobby Jones grew up playing on. I have been practicing this week in Georgia and playing a few other courses.
I am heading up to New York on Sunday where I have another Monday qualifier and then the first stage of US Open qualifying in Massachusetts on Wed. I am hoping to get into the next couple of LPGA events without having to Monday qualify, but I won’t know until the last minute.
Have a great day,
Angie

As excited as I was for the Mexico tournament, it turned out to be a very disappointing week. I got really sick over there, along with numerous other players, and was forced to withdraw from the event. The doctor thought it was caused by bacteria from the food they had for us in the locker room. It was quite an experience, but, I am glad to be back in Arizona and eating American food again.
I was planning to play in the West Coast event this week, but, due to the closing of that tour, I will be home working on my game and getting my strength back. I have a ProAm next Monday and then another week off before the busy summer hits.
Take care,
Angie

Last week I competed in the LPGA Monday qualifier in Las Vegas, but, unfortunately, did not qualify. I shot 71 and finished tied for 4th place, but, they only take the top two.
This coming week I am in the field for the LPGA Corona Morelia Championship in Morelia, Mexico. I am very excited to be in the event and I'm looking for a good start to my LPGA season.
I have been playing in some West Coast Ladies Tour events and I know some of you have been following via their website. Unfortunately, the tour ran out of money and had to close. Many of the players lost money, luckily, I was not one of them. I may have some schedule changes due to the tour closing, so check my website in the upcoming weeks. Also, this week you can check the scores from Mexico on www.lpga.com.

I had another solid finish on the West Coast Ladies Golf Tour this week. I finished T-8th shooting 74-68-72. It was a very windy week here in Arizona. I struggled in the first round with the winds, but came back and finished strong the last two days.
I have this next week off and am going to the Masters for a few days. I am very excited. I have never been before and hear it is just awesome. We get in free with our LPGA badges, so Angela Stanford and I are taking advantage of that perk.
I will then compete in the Monday qualifier in Las Vegas on April 11th. Hopefully, I will start getting into some LPGA events, but I will compete on the West Coast Tour until that happens.
Take care,
Angie
HAPPY EASTER!!!!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. It was gorgeous here in Arizona and nice to finally have a great weekend.
I have been playing on the West Coast Ladies Tour the last two weeks and have one more event this week before I head back to the LPGA. I finished T-7th and T-20th. I have been really solid; I just need to make a few more birdies each round and I will be right in contention. I am enjoying playing these mini tour events and it's a great way to get warmed up for the season. The competition has been good and we've been playing very nice courses each week. I feel my game is getting better with each round of competition and I know I am close to putting three good rounds together and coming out with a win.

I played in the LPGA Monday qualifier today for the Safeway International here in Phoenix. Unfortunately, I did not get one of the two spots for the event. I had a good feeling about today’s round since I got in last year, but I had a few too many mistakes.
I did sign up for the West Coast event so I will be competing in that Tuesday – Thursday. It’s nice having these events in town to get some more competition in. My game is improving and I feel it’s just a matter of competing every week and getting into my rhythm.
Take care,
Angie

I just finished playing in another West Coast Ladies tour event here in Phoenix.
We played at the Legacy Golf Club which was an awesome golf course. It is also the site for the LPGA Monday qualifier next week. It’s been great to get some good competition in at the beginning of the season. A lot of the LPGA conditional players, as well as many Futures tour players, came out West to participate in these events.
I played solid all week. I was suffering from some flu-like symptoms, but I hung in there and finished T-14th. It was the best I have hit the ball in a long time. I was very consistent, but just had a hard time focusing and staying with my one shot at a time routine.
I am really happy with the progress I am making. I do expect better results out of myself, so I will be grinding away this week before the Monday Qualifier for the LPGA Safeway event.
Thanks to all of you who have emailed me with your kind words and support. It’s great to have so many people following my career.
